Try This Out-Of-The-Box Backsplash For A Rustic Country Kitchen Look - Food Republic

An expert explains how this affordable Victorian-era paneling that's easy to install can elevate a backsplash and make your entire kitchen feel more spacious. To elevate the look of your beadboard backsplash, Kuhl suggests, "Add trim or molding around the beadboard to make it feel like a designed paneling feature rather than an afterthought." Adding a trim instantly gives the beadboard a sense of intentionality, transforming it from a basic backsplash into a standout design element. And while beadboard is traditionally made of wood, more affordable options like fiberboard or laminate are widely available. You can play with the style of molding to match your kitchen's aesthetic, such as ornate, layered trims for a touch of Victorian elegance, or keep it minimal and streamlined for a modern, no-fuss look."Another advantage of beadboard is that it's lightweight, very budget-friendly compared to traditional backsplashes, and easy to install," Kuhl says. It's also simple to remove if you decide to update your kitchen later.

If you tend to under-read, practice by intentionally doubling your read on the putting green to recalibrate your instincts. Elite putters tend to miss on the high side — because their reads give the ball a chance to fall into the hole from the top. Some putts “look straight,” but subtle contours can trick your vision.Trusting your eyes without confirmation leads to inconsistent reads. Visual perception is unreliable — especially on uneven terrain or multi-tiered greens.Shadows, slope illusions, and grain direction all affect how a green appears. Use your feet to feel slope. As you walk around the putt, pay attention to which foot feels lower. Combine visual and physical feedback. Ask yourself: Does what I feel match what I see? Practice AimPoint-style reads where you estimate slope percentage by feel (1%, 2%, etc.) Your feet are often more trustworthy than your eyes when it comes to subtle breaks. On slow greens, be more aggressive with speed and aim tighter to the hole. Putting is a mix of line and speed — neither works well without the other. Some golfers try to memorize or overthink every detail of the slope, aiming, and break.

Try Green Goddess Quinoa + Chickpeas + Avocado. It’s fine. And it’s in my best interest to give them paid time off for the extra coaching and practice, because if one of them gets traded or kicked off the team (God forbid) it’s going to be Grouch City around here for months.Or, of course, a salad. But I’ve always suspected that the reason they applied for the job here in the Department of Salad was that it sounded like a diet-y operation to them. Please, try another combination. ... Your eye peaks at 555nm wavelength. That’s literally green. From sage green kitchen cabinets taking over Pinterest to emerald green becoming the new “expensive energy” in UI design, this color is doing something different. But why? And more importantly, how do you use it without looking like you’re trying too hard to hop on the sustainability bandwagon?Let’s address the elephant in the room: sage green is EVERYWHERE. Your mom’s asking about sage green cabinets, your favorite influencer’s entire feed is sage green outfits, and half of Figma’s trending templates are drenched in this color.Emerald green is what happens when green goes to business school. It’s sophisticated, confident, and screams “I charge premium prices” without being obnoxious about it. The Rolex effect: Our brains are literally trained to associate emerald green with luxury. Most of these “trends” are just designers getting tired of the previous trends and swinging the pendulum back. How to Make Green Paint in Easy Steps? - CU Independent

Want a softer, lighter green? Add a touch of white. For a deeper or more muted tone, try adding a small amount of black, brown, or even a hint of red or purple. First, the blue route: Start with your basic green and slowly mix in more blue, ultramarine, or prussian blue work well. Keep adjusting until you get the depth you’re aiming for. Second, try the subtle Shadow technique: Begin with your base green and add just a tiny bit of black, seriously, a little goes a long way.In portraits, use muted greens for backgrounds, tone down brightness with red, and choose warm or cool greens to match skin tones. With acrylics, work quickly as they dry fast. Use a spray bottle to keep paint wet, and expect colors to dry slightly darker. With oils, enjoy longer working time and rich blending. Colors stay true as they dry, but cleanup needs solvents. With just yellow and blue, you can mix all kinds of greens. Start small, mix slowly, and try different combos to see what works best. This step helps you see the true shade of green you have made, so make sure everything is well combined before adjusting the color further.

Is TruGreen any good? | Lawn Care Forum

Hiring a company doesn't mean you can wash your hands off of the yard. Many years ago at another house I ordered weed killer application from Tru Green. Then I started to get calls from them nonstop for services even tho I told them not interested (wasn't impressed with their weed application). I take care of ferts for my dad's lawn, and most of his neighbors use Trugreen. He's very anti-pesticide, so other than some spot treatments I just do spring and fall fertilizer apps. Other than the weeds like clover etc that he doesn't care about, his lawn looks just as healthy and green as the neighbors.I follow where the tru green truck stops in my neighborhood. Those lawns tend to be better quality, but nothing to write home about, and certainly not as nice as you can do on your own with minimal effort. You can tell just from tru-green's website that they are shady and more interested in selling you a service than actually providing value.I've often wondered if their end results were satisfactory. I was driving through the neighborhood and noticed their truck parked in front of quite a few homes. I'm not interested, I'm happy with my results and what I learned here but was curious if they could transform a lawn like some of the lawns on this site.
